When do you use this expression?

• ・You are grinning but you are not making any laughing sounds.
• ・You think of something happy or pleasant and grin. If other people see you, they may feel you look strange.

for example

• ・Erin and Megumi are ginning, seeing that Saki looks so happy.
• ・Saki thinks of her senior colleague at her part-time workplace and makes a silly smile.

When do you use this expression?

• ・You are grinning but you are not making any laughing sounds. You smile slightly with your mouth and your eyes.
• ・Something advantageous for you happened and a grin breaks out on your face.
• ・You are grinning slightly because you are thinking of doing bad things or you have found out someone else's mistake.

• ・The man grinned broadly when he heard that his plan had worked.
• ・During a game, the champion noticed his opponent's mistake and made the next move with a grin on his face.
